The website is currently under development. But will soon feature essays, the deadphotographers magazine, deadphotographers merchandise and much more.

The act of sitting around in the dark staring warm glow of a projector and reminiscing over family holidays has gone. Times have changed. And it could seem as though there is little to no value in slides anymore. So when it comes to sifting through loved ones items and chosing keepsakes, slides just aren’t on the top of everyones list.

The deadphotographers project is a rescue project for the thousands of these photographs. The unwanted items of the deceased. Photographs discarded by the family and friends of passionate photographers. Cast aside with nowhere near the amount of love the photographers put into making them.

All of these images are collect through reliable sources and if I didn’t, then they would end up in the tip.

The deadphotographers project also attempts to prove the concept: “Everyone has a good photograph in them whether they know it or not”.

This project is curated by James Dodd
